Scott and I took off to Maui the end of February, and once again it was awesome!
It's always really hard for me to leave the kids.. there's always a few tears and a little somberness, but when we get there and I see the palm trees, feel the sand in my toes and hear the crashing of the waves and that Hawaiian music... how could it not drown all my sorrows?
The place is amazing, my paradise!
This time we decided to keep it laid back. We relaxed by the pools, shopped, dined, went on a whale watch excursion, drove the Road to Hana and walked the beach.
I seriously can't believe that its been 3 years already!
The little man keeps us beyond busy, but has brought us more joy then we could have ever imagined! His bright smile and contagious laugh can make anyones day brighter! Preston loves Fire trucks these days and so we had a Fireman birthday party! Since we were out of town on his birthday he got to have 2 Birthday parties!!..Lucky boy!
We went up to Rexburg on a snowmobiling trip with a group of friends and had a BLAST! We stayed in a cabin on a elk ranch and enjoyed some sledding, snowmobiling and we even got to celebrate Preston's birthday!...
Christmas Eve at the Allen's is always a favorite for us! All the grandkids get to participate in the reinactment of the Nativity. Preston played a Wiseman & Payton was an angel. As the Allen family gets bigger each year, so does the nativity...Did you know there were 4 wisemen and a horse there? It's beyond crazy getting the kids to cooperate but it is so stinkin' cute and always has us laughing!
Preston's list for Santa this year:
1. A Saw
2. A Blower
(I guess he spent alot of time with Grandpa being his BIG helper!)
Preston came running in our room at 6am on Christmas morning to let us know that Santa had brought him a fire truck...luckily we got him to jump in bed & sleep with us for a couple more hours.And....
Santa came through....he brought him his saw & blower!
And little Payton got her first doll!
This Christmas was so much fun! It was the first year that Preston really understood the whole Santa & presents idea and he seemed to love every minute of it.
Scott and I went to New York with his work the first part of December...and what an experience!
It's HUGE! There was so much to do there, and of course.. not enough time to do it all!
But we were able to hit the Statue of Liberty, The Empire State Building, Central Park, Wall Street, Ground Zero, watch the the broadway show WICKED and Radio City's Rockettes, shop Canal Street and of course there was lots more SHOPPING!
I think Scott & Tyler managed to hit every Dunkin Donuts in the city and never got sick of them, and not surprising, but he didn't put on an ounce!...
We had so much fun, and yes I think we need to go again to watch our team...Go Yankees!
