Our First Family Trip to Disneyland...

Once upon a time, months and months ago, Scott's sister Stacy & her hubby Chris planned a BIG family trip to Disneyland...
So, the middle of October we all flew to California.

Our Itinerary-

Day 1: SeaWorld
Day 2: Disneyland
Day 3: California Adventure
Day 4: Disneyland
Day 5: The Beach

At SeaWorld:

SeaWorld has such a cute Sesame Street play area, that Preston just loved! His favorite was riding on Elmo's flying fish!

Preston mostly enjoyed watching the whale and dolphin shows and loved going through the shark tunnel and playing with his cousins.

Disneyland:

Disneyland was AWESOME! I don't think that we could have gone at a better time. The lines weren't long at all and the weather was perfect! I had never been to Disneyland in the Fall before and to see it all decorated for Halloween was so cute! All the characters were dressed up in their Halloween costumes and they had Mickey Mouse made out of pumpkins.

Preston's favorite ride was Pirates of the Carribean and Buzz Lightyear.
We hit almost every kiddie ride in the park and Scott even got to take Preston on the Matterhorn...Needless to say after that ride Preston told us he didn't want to go up the mountain again.

We ate @ the Blue Bayou (the restaurant in Pirates)...Highly recommended, just be sure to make reservations!

And had breakfast with the characters..Both were so much fun! Thanks Chris & Stacy!

California Adventure:

First stop...

The Playhouse Disney show with The Little Einsteins, Handy Manny & the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse... so cute! Preston absolutely loved this place! It's almost a daily thing for Preston to watch these shows so for him to be there & see them in person, the look on his face...was Priceless!

We watched the parade there at California Adventure and saw the real Lightening McQueen and Tow Mater... You would've thought we were in heaven! The best part of all, was to see the look on his face!

....I'm now convinced! It really is a place "Where all your dreams come true" or for a 2 year old anyway.

The Beach:

You just can't go to California and not go to the Beach!

Our last day in California was spent at Newport Beach with the Wesolowski's and not surprising, Preston loved that too! Scott is always really good at making games for everything so they spent the majority of their time being "chased" by waves. It was cute to watch them all play and see all the treasures the Wesolowski's found!

What A Blast!... I can't wait to do it again!

We Love Grandma Bonnie

OUR VISIT WITH GRANDMA BONNIE...

(October 12, 2008)

My Funny Memory about Grandma Bonnie:

For those of you who haven't heard this story, I laugh about it now, but it was actually pretty embarrassing.

Scott and I had only been married for a couple months and went to Hyrum, UT with his family to attend Grandma Bonnie's 90th birthday party. As we entered the reception hall I saw "Bonnie" well what looked like Grandma Bonnie in the picture on Scott's parents bedroom wall... about 20 years earlier. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY, BONNIE!" I said... The lady didn't say anything, she just smiled at me and walked away. Moments later Scott walks me over to his Grandma who was standing on the opposite side of the room... The lady I wished a Happy Birthday to as I walked into the room...it was Scott's Aunt Shan (Bonnie's Daughter) approximately 60 years old! Oops!!
Sorry Aunt Shan!

"Punkin Farm"

Preston couldn't wait to go to the "Punkin' Farm" with his cousins Brady & Rusty.
Preston was so excited to pick out his & Payton's very own pumpkins, he searched all over to find a big one for him and got so excited when he found the baby ones just perfect for Payton. He thought it was pretty cool that we got to put the pumpkins in the wagon and go for rides that he tried to pick up every pumpkin in sight. There were so many to choose from but he was finally able to choose the perfect ones!
